Services and Supplies
All copier pricing includes: a copier with automatic document feeder, all copier supplies, except paper and staples(fee varies by model), and manufacturer trained technicians to handle all needed repairs, with an average response time of less than four hours. Cost per copy pricing is listed in the pricing section below.
All Carolina Managed Print Services copiers can be used as a printer or fax in addition to copying your documents.

Paper is not available from Carolina Managed Print Services.
Users have two options for recycling toner:
- Used Xerox toner cartridges can be placed in an empty cartridge box or other box, labeled “Xerox printer cartridges” and left at your building’s campus mailbox station for pickup by University Mail Services.
- Through the Xerox Green World Alliance program.

Payment
Copies can be made by using any of the following:
- UNC One Card
- Departmental Copier Expense Card
- University Guest Card
Please note: You must have money on your expense account in order to use your One Card to make copies.
Tar Heel Teller Machines are located all over campus. Use a Tar Heel Teller to check the balance of your UNC One Card Expense Account or deposit cash into your Expense Account for immediate availability. Tar Heel Tellers accept $1, $5, $10 & $20 dollar bills. (Locations)
In the event that your department no longer requires this MFD or if you require an upgrade or downgrade, you may be responsible for early termination charges (ETC). These ETCs will be based on the monthly base rate.
There is a fee for staples and copier moves, available upon request.

Please review the sample Letter of Understanding that explains your and CMPS’ responsibilities and illustrates the pricing structure of the MFD that has been installed in your department.
Pricing will vary by model and accessories.

Troubleshooting
Repair Request:
For a Xerox MFD: please call 1-855-314-9934 and provide the serial number on the label. Help Center individuals are available immediately and will dispatch a technician if needed. Expected initial tech response time is less than 2 hours.
